All future horror movie directors should learn from this flick. The best lesson to take out of it is this: Just go for it. Be demented. Embrace the madness. Enjoy the carnage. There was a love of horror flicks and horror madness throughout "House of 1,000 Corpses".

A car full of teens breaks down in the sticks. A wacky family helps them out. The teens return their generosity by becoming their victims. The family was appropriately grotesque. There was one exception. What end of the gene pool did Baby, (Sheri Moon), come from? She was good bait. I would have followed her anywhere. I enjoyed this nasty little gem. I don't think I've ever seen this level of mayhem in a movie theater before. Usually I have to send away for a copy of a copy of the imported, Japanese version of a horror flick. Hopefully "House of 1,000 Corpses" will help other disturbing horror flicks make it to the big screen.

One last thing, the two monsters near the end, (Dr. Satan and the red skull guy), need their own movie. They were the highlight for me. That's the kind of insanity I like.

SCORE: 3.5 out of 4 insane Captain Spauldings
