"Season of the Hunted" review

Season of the Hunted (2003)

Suzy McCoppin.... Jennifer (as Suzie McCoppin)

"Season of the Hunted" is about a couple of New York guys fighting with a couple of country boys. Five city guys head to the woods and hook up with seven bumpkins for some bow hunting. After two long scenes of the city guys laughing like hyenas at every lame joke, they finally head to the woods for some hunting. The city boys are betrayed as the country guys want them to squeal like a pig. The rest of the movie is a bow and arrow massacre as arrows fly, blood spurts, and guys squeal.

Do you like seeing arrows stick out of a person's body? If you answered yes, rent this movie immediately. If arrow gore doesn't do it for you, skip this one. "Season of the Hunted" is completely predictable. The bad hunters turn on the city guys with lightning speed and proceed to hunt them down. While there was some decent gore effects, there really isn't much excitement or tension in this flick. I knew what was going to happen at every step of the way. After the fourth arrow hit its target, I knew the movie was out of surprises.

B-movie all the way, "Season of the Hunted" might be good for some cheap arrow thrills but not much else. Oh, and there is a quick sex scene at the beginning with a blonde and the main hunter. It's always smart to start off a movie with a sex scene. The blonde seems to know her stuff. And knows it very well.

SCORE: 1.5 out of 4 for massive arrow hunting attacks

I discovered you after watching "Carlitos Angels" yesterday night and looking it up on IMDB.

Your reviews are DEAD ON. And effing hilarious.

Anyway, I have one of those Blockbuster movie passes where you can rent 2 movies a day if you want. Me, my husband and one of our friends usually go every other day and scour the racks for the cheesiest, raunchiest, bloodiest B Movie we can find. Then we watch them and give ourselves headaches because most of the are crap. Not even good crap. Just CRAP.

I'm following your lead here. We're going to look for some of the movies you've reviewed.

Wonder if you've seen Carlito's Angels?

haha...

Hey Ana,

"Carlito's Angels" eh? I've seen it tempting me on the Blockbuster wall but I haven't seen it yet. I've got my eye on it.

That's so cool that you will dive into B-movie madness with your husband. One word of warning though, if you use my list as a guide, you'll be dipping into softcore lesbian skin flick territory.

Have fun!

Carlitos Angels has it's moments. (Don't they all? ha) It's a fun flick but it moves really slow at times and if you can't take the sound of 3 latina women squealing and arguing with each other at the top of their lungs...DON'T GET IT.

OH MY GOD.

I thought I was going to rip my hair out after a few scenes. LORD.

Oh and softcore lesbian territory B Movies are the best. We actually LOOK for those on the shelves, haha.

Tonight we went to Blockbuster and rented "Haunted Desires".

It was OK. The girl vampires were horrible looking though. Seriously, some of those women have pushed out a few kids. And the main lady looks like my next door neighboor, a soccer mom.

But the main vampire guy was HILARIOUS.

It was pretty enjoyable!

Let's see what we rent tomorrow!

You and your husband look for softcore lesbian flicks eh? He's a lucky guy. Then I think you should use my list with no fear.

I've seen "Haunting Desires". I remember the vampire women looking, well, not good. The main lady you're referring to (soccer mom), was Beverly Lynne. She's looked good in other flicks but was looking a little ragged in this one with her super short haircut. Check out "Bikini a go go" for some good Lynne action. I'll have to post a review for "Haunting Desires".

Let me know if you run into anything else interesting out there in your Blockbuster runs. I've got my eye on "Evil Breed: Legend of Samhain". It has Jenna Jameson and a mutant cannibal. Need I say more?

Sylvester Stallone is a worthless piece of garbage, the only good thing about him is his rampaging heterosexuality.
